Dedicate Archive Materials to the Václav Havel Library
It is our endeavour to build up a complete archive of the works and creations coming from the pen of Václav Havel or documents concerning him. This is highly difficult work given that the current owners of many documents are unknown. If you or anybody from your environs is the owner of original texts, correspondence, photographs, speeches or any other works by Václav Havel and you would like to dedicate a copy or the original to the Václav Havel Library, you can contact us. All of these materials have a historical value for us.
Whenever a copy or original is donated to the Václav Havel Library, we will always negotiate the donation conditions with the owner. All of the donors or owners will always be listed in relation to the documentary material.

„And here we are once more on the subject of Czech small-mindedness. Look after Number One, don’t get mixed up in other people’s business, keep your head down, don’t look up – we’re surrounded by mountains and those whirlwinds from the outside world will blow over our heads and we can go on burrowing in our little backyard. How many wise essays or books have been written about his domestic self-absorption of ours!“
