Selection committee

On Monday 26 August 2018 the selection committee of the Václav Havel Human Rights Prize held a meeting at the Václav Havel Library; its members considered 27 nominees that had met the criteria for the award and chose three finalists:

„To tell you the truth, it’s not just Americans and other foreigners who think of me as a kind of fairy-tale prince or at least as the main character in a fairy tale; I too am often aware of something utterly unbelievable in my own destiny.
